Much of the artistry behind The Breath Guide is rooted in the musical expression that brings life to our narrations and journeys.  The music serves as a conduit for inspiration and grace, elevating the stories and emotions we share. We choose our musicians with care, picking pieces that resonate with the meaning of our journeys. We want to acknowledge three musicians in particular, whose incredible talents have shaped our offerings. We also extend gratitude to MusicBed, where you can explore so many talented artists, many of whom are featured in the work of The Breath Guide.

THE MUSICAL ARTISTS BEHIND THE BREATH GUIDE

GARY MALKIN

In a world drowning in noise and chaos, Gary Malkin is a whisperer who speaks directly to the heart. I became familiar with this seven-time Emmy-winning composer, producer, and performer through Gaia TV, where his series Islands of Inner Peace has profoundly deepened my spiritual life. Gary has dedicated his life to using music as a tool for awakening, healing, connection, and fostering peace.

With over 40 years of experience in creating music and immersive media, Gary has touched nearly a million lives. His globally acclaimed palliative resource Graceful Passages and his work as the co-founder of the Global Wisdom Foundation with Lisa Rafel are just two examples of his profound contributions. His collaborations with famous thought leaders around the world have brought comfort, wisdom, and inspiration to countless individuals.  We are humbled and ecstatic to have his music featured at The Breath Guide.  To learn more about Gary’s work visit WisdomoftheWorld.com and You-Awake.com.

NAHKO AND MEDICINE FOR THE PEOPLE

Nahko, the founder of Nahko And Medicine for the People, has created a unique and powerful sound often described as Alternative-Folk or Indie-Folk. Drawing from his Native American, Puerto Rican, and Filipino heritage, Nahko uses music to process childhood trauma, sharing messages of transformation and positivity that resonate deeply with listeners on similar journeys. The haunting melody and heartfelt supplication in his powerful song Directions has been a profound inspiration for several of our journeys at The Breath Guide. His words bridge cultures, beliefs, and traditions with the universal plea for direction and guidance that we can all relate to. This song opens the heart. We are deeply honored to feature Nahko's Directions and hope you will check out his work on his official website, social media platforms and Spotify. JUDAH EARL

Judah Earl is an accomplished cellist, studio artist, and prolific composer whose music deeply resonates with me and is featured prominently in The Breath Guide. His compositions evoke a range of emotions, from triumphant energy to profound calm and everything in between. Influenced by diverse global traditions, including African and European cultures, Judah's work ranges from edgy rhythms to peaceful melodies. Internationally recognized, he won ‘Best Instrumental’ in the Hollywood Songwriting Contest. You can find his music on Spotify and SoundCloud.  His work is also featured on MusicBed.

Rafael Yedid and I are deeply grateful to the many individuals who have helped bring this project to life. Our journey has been shaped by the unwavering support of our partners, family, friends, and fellow breath coaches, whose encouragement and belief in us have kept our eyes and hearts focused. While there are countless people who deserve recognition, we would like to express special gratitude to those whose contributions were instrumental in bringing life to our vision. Thank you from the depths of our hearts.

THE BEGINNING

We began this journey with five passionate individuals, each bringing valuable perspectives and creativity to the foundation of The Breath Guide. While collaborations can take unexpected paths, we are deeply grateful for Joanne Adducci and Marci Laughlin, whose early contributions helped shape our vision.

We are also honored to have witnessed Sarah Miller’s launch of Veteran’s Breath Guide, a nonprofit organization supporting military veterans who struggle with some of the painful effects of military service. Joyce Harris volunteers with Veteran’s Breath Guide and is privileged to contribute content. The Breath Guide plans to extend support to veterans’ families, furthering our shared mission to support our veterans communities.

NICK HEATH

Many thanks to Nick Heath, my favorite breath science expert, who graciously allowed me to share highlights from his insightful research on various studies. Nick consistently reminds us that breathwork is a continually evolving landscape, with new studies emerging all the time. He encourages a curious and open-minded approach to research, as no single study will likely be the definitive word on any subject. For those interested in diving deeper, we highly recommend exploring Nick's work at The Breath Learning Center. We are grateful for his contributions and his unwavering dedication to breath science. breathlearning.com
